Position: Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Cameron Park, CA

Hours: Monday - Friday

General Description:
Provides leadership and direction to the operational departments (shipping, receiving, purchasing) of Snowline Engineering to achieve company goals. Responsible for ensuring our product meets the expectations of our customers at every level. To achieve these goals, this position manages multi-shift departmental functions including operations, efficiency, administration, planning, budgeting, maintenance, and safety within department and trains and manages staff to meet company needs and requirements. Constantly seek ways to improve the manufacturing process and steam line production.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage and execute all manufacturing engineering activities associated with respect to production, quality, customer service, cost, environmental, health and safety within assigned area.
  • Provide comprehensive manufacturing engineering support to meet design specifications, including in-house manufacturing processes, external services, and final assemblies.
  • Responsible for tooling designs, production processes, solid modeling, production planning, and process development.
  • Responsible for driving results and achieving operational goals and targets identified.
  • Develop and implement consistent processes and procedures to support efficient operations and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Manage improvement efforts across all areas that eliminate non-value added processes and waste.
  • Achieve metrics and KPI’s to ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Work closely with other staff members to maintain a well cross trained workforce.
  • Ability to read and understand complex blue prints to determine the sequence of operations required to manufacture precise machined components and assemblies.
  • Work in collaboration with Production Manager to maintain production scheduling demands and other departmental managers to achieve customer requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
  • BS/BA degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient with Solidworks.
  • Experience with ERP software.
  • Should be familiar with all equipment on shop floor.
  • Proficient in MS Office products.
  • Knowledge of process workflows, procedures, and continuous improvement methodologies required.
  • Time management skills and ability to multi-task.
